5:05 PM Well done to Nowrooz Mangal and his men, and one can't help feeling sympathy for the Canadians, who obviously really missed Umar Bhatti today. But one also can't help wondering what would have happened if Ash Bagai had enforced the follow-on yesterday. Perhaps Afghanistan would have won anyway. We'll never know!
5:03 PM The Canadian bowlers never really got on top - containment was the best they could achieve, and even that only for short periods. Mohammad Shahzad's double-hundred was a magnificent effort, and he stamped his authority on the game from the moment he came in this morning.
5:02 PM This Afghan side simply doesn't give in, ever. They were completely out of this game for the first three days, and yet, needing to make 454 in 96 overs today they set about it as if it were routine.
